Scott Wright(23) Winger- Aberdeen (Imminent)
This is no secret and will be announced in the coming days, as announced by both managers in their respective press conferences. Wright is one of the leagues most exciting prospects and should be seen as one to take you off the edge of your seat. With his pace, trickery and set piece ability Wright has shown he can cause problems to any team if he is puts his mind to it. With the guidance of Steven Gerrard and the right backroom staff, the youngster should propel in this environment, if he stays fit of course.
Gustavo Hamer(23) Midfield – Coventry City
The young Dutch midfielder has the world at his feet, with half of the UK vying for his signature. With six goal contributions in 19 games as a defensive midfielder, there is no reason why they should not cash in on the million pound man as he continues to light up the English Championship. Having Steven Davis(36) play 35 games this season and Ryan Jack being plagued with Injuries, Gerrard will need to invest in a young and exciting prospect if he wants to continue his fine run of form.
Kyle Joseph(19) Forward – Wigan Athletic
Up against rivals Celtic and English giants, Tottenham Hotspur, Rangers have made an approach to enquire about Wigan’s brightest prospect. The Scottish Under 19 international has been a revelation after making his debut in October. After scoring four goals in nine games for the Latics this would be an excellent coup in the coming years for the Ibrox club, with his energy and passion to succeed.
Fashion Sakala(23) Forward – KV Oostende
Reportedly high on the wish list for Rangers, Gerrard has shown an eagerness to get this deal wrapped up as soon as possible, most likely on a pre contract as his contract runs out in the summer. The Zambian forward has made eight goal contributions in seventeen games for the Belgian side and would be a perfect replacement for Jermain Defoe, as he looks to be in his final months at the club.
Jack Wilshire(29) Midfield – Free Agent
After Max Meyer rumours were rubbished this afternoon we believe Wilshire is a player of a similar calibre. The former Arsenal Star has been seen as no secret to the liking of Steven Gerrard, who was once his teammate and Captain for England. Wilshire is reportedly set to be offered a short term deal by Bournemouth dependent on Junior Stanislas’ status, however, reports suggest that Wilshire has shown more interest in a move north of the border, with European football and silverware on the horizon.
Kevin Stewart(27) Midfield – Free Agent
A man Gerrard knows oh too well, the Rangers boss worked with Stewart at Liverpool, both as a player and as a coach and in previous interviews has rated him highly. After being released by Hull City three years on from his £4 million transfer from the Reds, Stewart will be keen to get his career rolling again. He has shown to be a versatile midfielder, playing across the back line and anywhere in midfield, which is something every club needs.
